Owner and Founder of Restoring Hope Through Counseling
Rebecca Meyer, MS, LPCC
M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
I am licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.
I first seriously considered becoming a mental health therapist after I watched footage from the attack on the city of Baghdad in 2003. Looking at the images stirred something in me; I just knew that those soldiers were going to need counseling for what they had gone through. Being a soldier myself, I assumed that I would never get deployed since I'm in the band; but I wanted to do my part in serving. So, I changed my major my junior year of college from music performance to psychology.
I have worked in the mental health field since 2006. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northwestern College and I completed my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am passionate about helping others, integrating faith, and providing hope to my clients until they are able to hold on to it themselves.
In addition to counseling, I enjoy spending time outside, reading and learning, pursuing photography, and playing with my children. I continue to serve our country in the Army Reserve.
